Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL club, Nasarawa Utd FC’S skipper, Emmanuel Makama has fired warning to their rivals ahead of the commencement of the 3019/2020 season, stating that any club that will ignore them will be doing that at the peril.

Speaking exclusively to Instant Africa sports after assisted his club to lift the Ahlan cup in Kano on Wednesday Makama said they are ready to prove their worth again when the upcoming season starts and no club in the NPFL should underrate them  because doing that will be at their own risk.

The Ahlan Cup is the last of the series of pre-season football tournaments that engaged Nigerian league clubs as they awaited the kickoff of the new season. It also signals the end of pre-season and usher in the new season.

The 2019/20 league season in Nigeria will commence on Sunday November 3, 2019 with Nasarawa United travelling to Aba to keep a date with defending champions; Enyimba International

Roberto Carlos as Makama is popularly called by his fans noted that their resolution to go for silverware at the end of the upcoming season was informed by the support the team is receiving from the state governor, His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi Sule and the entire people of Nasarawa state.

“We have proven beyond reasonable doubt that we have the determination, dedication and discipline to excel in the fourth coming NPFL season.

“ As a matter of fact, we’ve oiled our soccer arsenals and we are ready to storm the the NPFL with all amount or seriously without living any stone unturned. Therefore, any club that ignores us will do that at its own peril,” he boasted.

It will be recalled that, Makama was sidelined with injuries at the tail end of the last season.

The Lafia based NPFL club escape the relegation murky waters at the last day of the 2018/2019 season.

Recalled that, coach Bala Nikyu led Nasarawa United piped El-Kanemi Warriors 1-0 to win the 2019 Ahlan Cup pre-season football competition on Wednesday in Kano.
