The head coach of Aklosendi Int’l fc of Lafia, Coach Gideon David has revealed that his club will be gunning for the promotion slot to the NPFL when the league season commence on November 21, 2019.
Coach David told instant Africa sports in an exclusive interview that they almost won the league last season if not for the fact that abridge league was a difficult one that immediately you lose a match you find it hard to recovered your momentum.
He said that he was going to retain 80% of the players that made them proud during their first season in the league, stressing that the boys are hungry for success.
On the officiating however he blames some of the decisions taken by the referees against his team to human error, he therefore advises that the referees must step up as the new season beacon.
However, Coach David is optimistic that the league organizers will step up in their organizations of the league as well as the management putting everything in place ahead of the commencement of the incoming season.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria National League, NNL management has announced the 21 November, 2019 as the new date for the commencement of the 2019/2020 season.
