The Archbishop Metropolitan and Primate of Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion Most Rev. Henry Chukwudum Ndukuba has promised to assist disabled persons and pledged automatic employment to a member of group of people living with disabilities popularly known as Physically Challenged Empowerment Initiative, and commended them for their resilience and perseverance.
Speaking when the group payed him a courtesy visit in his office in Abuja, the Primate promised to assist them adding that in the area of sports, Peoples Living with Disability has done the nation proud and therefore deserve the support of all.
“You can be helped. The history and story of sports cannot be complete without the disabled. Yu have won many medals and laurels which made us proud in this country. You have made us proud. We are praying with you. You can count on our support and encouragement.
On their request for various assistants especially the empowerment of the professionals in the group, Most Rev. Ndukuba promised to liaise with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Alhaji Bello Musa Mohammed.
Earlier in his speech, the National President of Physically Challenged Empowerment Initiative commended the Primate for his doggedness in spreading the gospel and prayed for more grace, wisdom and God’s guidance in the discharge of his duties.
