The Federal Government through the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN has directed the State Security Service, SSS to release the former security adviser to President Good Luck Jonathan, Sambo Dasuki and the convener of the ‘Revolution Now’ Omoyele Sowore.
The duo are standing trial in the Federal High Court, Abuja for various criminal charges.
Consequetly, having reviewed the cases against them AGF, Malami, SAN maintained that the directive was in compliance with the court orders that granted the two defendants bail while the federal government continues it’s right of appeal challenging the court orders.
Malami enjoined the duo to observe the terms of the bail and refrain from engaging in any act that is inimical to public peace and national Security as well as their ongoing trial which will runs it course in accordance with the laws of of the land.
He pointed out that present administration remained committed in deepening the rule of law and administration of justice in Nigeria.
