The entire Towers of flocks Evangels Ministry, Board of Trustees and members have on Monday disclaimed a viral video of Bishop Dr Osmond Bakare on social media, describing it as handiwork of distractors and enemies of Christendom whose stock in trade is character assassination.

The Ministry, in a press statement made available to newsmen Monday in Abuja and signed by its Council Chairman, Arch. Rockson Essien, stated that the video in circulation is false, malicious and totally a misrepresentation of facts as all that are contained in it cannot be a true representation of a saintly character of one of world’s most revered clergies, Bishop Dr Bakare.

Not prepare to lose focus on its clerical mandate, ‘’however, the Bishop and entire members of our church has forgiven those behind the dirty act in line with the principles set by our Lord Jesus Christ on forgiveness and as contained in our guide book the Bible at Luke 23:34.”

‘’It could be noted that Bishop Osmond was invited to Okwe in Delta state on the 8th of October, 2019 for family prayers, on his WhatsApp page. While the prayers were on going, some unscrupulous elements accosted and hijacked him and subjected him to inhuman treatments which included threat to life, blackmail, manhandling; and forced him and his team into acting as contained in the viral video and asked him to transfer all the money in his bank account if he and his team were to leave the environment alive…’, the statement reveals.

The Ministry, in disclaiming the viral video in circulation, said it ‘’was a product of duress, threat to life and intimidation of the Bishop and his team, adding: “everyone who knows Bishop Osmond will no doubt agree that he will never associate himself with what was contained in the video in question.’’

It however advised the public to discountenance the content ‘’as it does not in any way conform to the godly conduct the Bishop is reputed to portray”.
