“Last season officiating was okay; the management of the league did very well last season, let me applaud them. This season I believe we are going to see a better officiating since its going to be a bigger structure,” he said.
However, Keshi said that Nasarawa United’s victory at the preseason tournament was as a result of the ability of the team’s technical crew led by Coach Bala Nikyu to turned friendly matches defeats to win in Kano.
According to him, the team really prepared well ahead of the Ahlan preseason tournament that was why they won, adding that they are preparing harder as the approach the commencement of the new season. “We actually prepared for the preseason; we went to Abuja and played some friendly matches before we stormed Kano for the tournament.
“We loss some matches in Abuja and everybody were blaming us especially my boss, Coach Nikyu the technical adviser of the team but they forget that when you lose a game you learn from the defeat, that was exactly what Nikyu did and when we stormed Kano, we strategised and applied what we learnt that was why we came out victorious, and we are ready to replicate that when the incoming season begins in a short time,” he stated.
