Chika Ibenemen, one of the media aids to the governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano has been accused of stealing Shares worth over ten million naira belonging to late Mr. Ugwuanwa Augustin Okoli instantafricaonline.com reports.

Ibeneme who is one of the serving media aids to gov. Obiano has been accused of stealing 43545 units of Nigeria Breweries Plc belonging to Ifo Ugwaunwa Augustine Okoli (late) and sold for ten million two hundred and seventy two thousand and fifteen naira (#10,272,015) only without the consent of the deceased’s next of kin, Ugwunwa Anagozie.

Our investigation revealed that Nnagozie accommodated Ibeneme his supposedly friend in his late father house where the later ransack the house and catered away the Shares documents of his late father. Though, our investigation further revealed that he, (Ibeneme) has owned up to the crime and previously undertook to pay back the said amount, but has remained adamant, hence enjoying gov Obiano’s protection.

We gathered also that conscious efforts were made  to reach the governor including a message sent to him via email but he is yet to reply a situation Ibeneme who initially agreed to pay the money he sold Nnagozie late father’s shares has so far made a U-turn.

According to our impeccable source, Ibeneme committed the crime while he was a staff of UBA where he opened the account himself using Nnagozie late father’s name and pressed his passport on the mandate card and liquidated the Shares without permission from Nnagozie, the next of kin.

Moreover, when corereporter.wordpress.com put a call across to him (Ibenem) he said, it was not in his character to behave in that manner, but that he was tricked into the act and promised restitution, while insisting that the case was in court.
