“We hold this self-evident truth that we have no other country than Nigeria, so, issues of this nature that tends to threaten our democratic institutions and values system should be resisted by all well-meaning Nigerians with the ambit of the law to prevent such future occurrences and those responsible be made to suffer equivalent consequential penalties.”
“The ease at which the MACE being the symbol of authority of the legislative assembly at every plenary proceedings was taken away like a broad day light thriller episode and has further cast doubt on the security arrangement with the national assembly complex and the capacity of the Sergeant at arms to exercise it constitutional roles of providing protection for our legislators without let or hindrance, poses serious national security implications”.
