The head coach of Aklosendi International FC of Lafia, Coach Gideon David has commended the referee who handled their week one match against their hosts, NAF Rocket of Abuja, saying that if the referees maintain the officiating the league will record a huge success.
Coach said though they came to the game to pick the three points at stake, but t ended up picking a point, a situation he said was no too bad for the team.
In an exclusive interview with Instant Africa sports, Coach David insisted that promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL has remain the watch word as such they are going to work towards achieving that.
However, the games played at the Are 3 Playground end-up in 1-1 draw. Meanwhile, the visitors Aklosendi missed a penalty at the last minutes of the encounter which would have given them three maximum points.
Meanwhile, Coach David said they are going back to the drawn board ahead of their second game at home in Lafia.
