The Acting Technical Adviser of Nasarawa United FC of Lafia, Coach Arikiya Abubarka has ordered his wards to go for three maximum points against Warri Wolves on Monday when both teams squared up against each other in week 16 of the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL.
Breaking his silence exclusively to instantafricaonline.com, Arikiya said that after breaking their winless jinx they are poised to consolidate with a win against their visitors.
His words. “Our watch word in this game against Wolves is to consolidate in our new found winning streak in a bid to achieve our set goal of repositioning Nasarawa Utd FC.
“We don’t have the luxury for complacency, our mission is clear ‘operation tame wolves,” Arikiya insisted.
However, in the NPFL week 16 games played on Sunday across the country; Plateau United thrashed Adamaa United 5-0 to consolidate in their quest to finish top in the league, Wikki Tourist defeated Mountain of Fire FC of Lagos, while Kwara United were forced to a 0-0 draw by visiting Sunshine Stars.
In other games; Kano Pillars beat Akwa United 2-0 nil at the Sani Abacha stadium, Kano, Ifeanyi Ubah FC also defeatred Enyimba FC of Aba 2-0, while Heartland FC were held to a 0-0 draw by visiting Katsina United, as Lobi Star FC of Makurdi were also forced to a 0-0 draw by Dakkada FC of Uyo, and Enugu Rangers triumphed over Abia Warriors.
