The recent protests by various interest group and stakeholders in the electoral process notably TakeItBack Movement, OurMumuDonDo Movement, Presidential Aspirants Coming Together (PACT) initiative, and concerned Civil Society Organizations calling he Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to extend the deadline to enable more Nigerians register and participate, have been cited as the real reason behind the sudden elongation of voters registration across exercise.
INEC had yesterday announced the extension of deadline for the registration of voters earlier scheduled to end on the 17th of August.
The new date according for closing the registration exercise according to information available to Instant Africa is 31st of August, 2018
