The Chairman of Gudu Amalgamated Traders Association (GATA), Dr. Uche Nwosu, has outlined his administration’s key achievements in office.
Addressing newsmen in Abuja, Dr. Nwosu, enumerated the positive impact of his leadership on the market, among which is peace and sanity, Dr. Nwosu noted that his administration brought peace and restored sanity to the market, ensuring a more orderly and conducive environment for business to thrive.
On the area of quality goods in the market, he stated that the market now offers quality goods, restoring customers’ confidence.
Speaking on the area of security measures, he highlighted several security initiatives, including: Installation of solar street lights; rebuilding of market fences with security wires; Installation of surveillance camera; and Fire gadgets for emergency response.
Dr. Nwosu also spoke on his administration’s achievements in the area of infrastructural development in the market, amongst which, according to him, includes the solidification of market entrances and exits, as well as the tarring of roads, even as he noted that his administration has partnered with the National Health Insurance Scheme, further enhancing the market’s operations.
He therefore called for support of the government in power, based on the performance of the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, in the last two years.
As his tenure is gradually coming to an end, he urged the traders to involve God during the election, with the reason that with God’s involvement, leaders with fear of God must certainly emerge, for the overall interest of traders.
Dr. Nwosu’s achievements have transformed the Gudu Market, creating a more secure, organized, and customer-friendly environment.
His leadership has restored confidence in the market, making it a better place for traders and customers alike.
